This presentation is meant to help inform therapists and healthcare practitioners of treatment options for adults.
The Calgary Eating Disorder Program will be presenting on Intensive Outpatient Programming (IOP) offers a more intensive treatment option for adult patients who would benefit from more regular support. This treatment component can be a step up from outpatient treatment and/or a step down from an inpatient admission.
IOP programming is offered three days a week, with a two hour treatment block each day. Treatment includes both group therapy & meal support therapy.
Interactive: 25 minute PowerPoint presentation that will review the program elements such as: pre – care, expectations, inclusion/exclusion criteria, length of stay, meal support therapy and group therapy curriculum.
Key learnings will also be shared. There will be a 5 minute time slot at the end of the presentation for questions.
