Using Zoom

Zoom Webinar Platform


To decrease barriers and to foster global collaboration, Body Peace is taking place entirely online using the Zoom webinar platform. Never used Zoom before? Not to worry! You can tune into live sessions using your smart phone (video/audio), phone (audio only) or laptop/desktop (video/audio). Please note that a webcam is not necessary because participants will not be able to see each other. You can also tune into sessions by calling in (we don’t recommend this as you won’t get a chance to ask questions!).

Step 1

1-10 Days Before the Conference

Download the Zoom app from the Download Center. Select “Zoom Client for Meetings” Download (desktop/laptop) or Zoom Mobile Apps if you’re tuning in from your smart phone. Click on the downloaded file to install. Please note that Zoom is free to use!

Join a test meeting to test your internet connection (please note that on the day, no one will be able to see you. You will only be able to see the Body Peace speakers).


Step 2

You will receive a registration confirmation email with all your session links about 3-5 days before the conference.

As an attendee, you will be able to see and hear the presenters and their powerpoint, you can ask the presenters questions by typing them in, and you can chat with others. Learn more about these features by clicking on the button below and selecting your operating system (Mac/windows/smart phone).

Step 3

On the Day of the Conference

To join the webinar, click the link provided in the email. If you’ve already downloaded Zoom, it should automatically open the webinar. If it doesn’t, open the Zoom application, click Join Meeting, and enter the webinar ID number (will be in the email we sent out).

Use your controls (pictured below) to participate! Don’t worry we’ll go over all the functionality on the day as well!
